IKEA announced that it would be using drones inside its stores and warehouses. 100 drones would be deployed in the non-operational hours to improve the stock accuracy for a better shopping experience. These drones would be provided to IKEA by Verity and would be operational in Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia and Switzerland. These drones do improve the worker wellbeing while also saving on operational costs and improving efficiency. Walmart has also been exploring various uses of the drone technology, exploring partnerships with companies like DroneUp, Flytrex and Zipline.
