Foxconn plans a $700mn plant in Bangalore

The Iphone maker is planning on moving a larger manufacturing facility to India as a part of its policy of shifting production from China. The Taiwanese company said that this would generate 100,000 jobs in India on a 300 acre space near Bangalore airport.

The move comes amid manufacturers aiming at moving various facilities away from China and looking at countries like Vietnam, Philippines and India.
