GoFirst has put in an application for voluntary insolvency before the National Company Law Tribunal. The heart of the problem was attributed to the engine issues in the airline which lead it to lose more than $1.3bn in lost revenue and costs. The engine issues which GoAir faced was related to their battle with their supplier Pratt & Whitney.
Indigo which is India's Largest airline is also facing similar issues as it combined with GoAir had the biggest fleet of Airbus A320s in India.
